Disneyland & TWeLVe

So Jared and I are going to Disneyland in May, and I can't wait! I turn into a little kid there. I love the magic, even though I know how most of it happens-I still am mesmerized by the magic of Disney! I can't wait to tell everyone about it :)
Next item up, I changed my hair color, and got it cut again :) If my computer would let me, I'd post a picture-but since it won't, you'll just have to see me in person!! But it's cute, and I love it! Three-I applied for school at UVU again, and I will be starting in the fall, I know I'm crazy here, but I'm super excited. I can't wait to start! I will let you know how it goes. I also just realized that I am a little behind on the blogger challenge. So the next little bit will be the next number on the challenge. :)
TWeLVe
I found out about this world of blog from my amazing sister-in-law Jodi!! I love her to death, and secretly want to be as amzaing at this and many other things as she is. Only I suppose it's not so much of a secret anymore. I have a blog so I can talk out my life for others to read :) I'm sorry if I'm not exciting as most people, but I feel like this helps me with my daily life. Thank you to the few of you who read this blog. And thank you Jodi for inspiring my life!!

Long Time Gone

Oh my goodness! I've been thinking it's been a while since I blogged, but I didn't realize that it had been a MONTH!! That is crazy!! We have done SOO much :) I'll tell you all about it! So the week of March 7-12, I volentered with the Distinguished Young Women of Utah. I am on the State Committee, and I'm also a local program director. So if you know any seniors in high school, tell them about it! Anyway, I was really busy with that. If you want more information on the orginaztion go to http://distinguishedyoungwomenofutah.blogspot.com/ I was also invited to go to Mobile Alabama for the National Program in June, so I'll be sure to keep you up to date on the adventure. I am soo excited!! After enjoying the week with 34 of the most amazing girls, I got to jump right back into work at CarMax. I absolutely love working there! Not even joking to you. I have some of the best friends anyone could ask for, and the most amazing office! I really missed them while I was with the girls. So I was very glad to go back to work :) Back in December Jared got us tickets to see Bon Jovi with his mom and brother Adam, it was by far on of the best concerts I've been too. We were close, and I got a cute shirt!
The downside to this picture, is that I don't have long enough arms to get all of us in the whole picture! Sorry Adam!!
Bon Jovi was a blast! I also started teaching dance again, Tuesday and Thursdays, and I have taken up the harp! I know, you are thinking, how does one just take up the harp?! Well here is how, your little sister decides she wants to play, and you ask her to teach you!! I am not that good, but it is a fun experience :) That pretty much sums up March!
Jared is still going to school, he is almost done, but it seems so far away! At work he gets all sorts of tools from DeWalt, so our spare bedroom has become a shed. I tried to take a picture, but it just doesn't do it justice. I'll try to explain it to you. You open the doors, and all you see is tools. You can see the desks in the corners, the closet pushed off to the side, but there are tools. I am glad that we have our own personal tool shed, but I can't wait until we have our own actual shed or garage. I'd take either at this point! I will try to be better at blogging this month. But if I'm not, here is a quick run down of April :) I turn 22, I get to go to Nex Mexico to help another store for a day with work, I get to dance with Jamison and I have discovered a new exciting place to jump on trampolines! I'll try to get some pictures of that next time we go. Yeah, I'll be better at blogging this month!

Where does the TIME go?!

Hello blog world!! February just flew by! With both of us working, and Jared going to school full time, the time literally flew by. But I am back. So here are some updates for you-February...I spent a day in the hospital to find out absolutely nothing, Jared has continued to work his way through school, and work. We had one of the best Valentine's Days I've ever had :) I became a notary and Jared and I are planning a trip to Tennessee!! So first things first. I woke up one day dizzy, light headed and sick to my stomach. I decided to go to work anyway, and hope that the symptoms would just go away. Around 1:30, I still wasn't able to keep my head up with my eyes open, so I was taken to the hospital by my wonderful co worker Jayme. She stayed with me the full five hours, and then drove me home! All those five hours, ultra sound and morphine later-nothing was physically wrong. I was sent home with dizzy pills and lortab. I still don't know what was wrong. YAY medicine. Jared this semester decided to take 17 credit hours, and work full time as well. Let's just say I don't get to see him very often. We still see eachother every day, but it's not really the same right now because he is doing his homework. He is an inspiration to me. He does his homework everyday. He is also loving work! He gets to work with a lot of tools, and he likes that. Ok, so as we all know, Valentine's Day and I do NOT get along too well at all. I swear we were born to be loath eachother. This year however, we put our differences aside and made it work. Jared and I both worked until seven, so we had just planned on going to "Gnomeo and Juliet". We didn't get home in time to see the showing we had planned so we got to hang out at Jordan Commons for about an hour. We had gelatto and just got to spend time together. All was going well, we were in the theater, and this is when our friend Valentine decided to remind me he's not going anywhere-but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The couple that sat behind us talked super loud through the whole movie, and complained the whole time. Seriously, just leave next time. But wait, there's more!! The theater started showing TRON. Which I actually would have been fine with because I liked it and Jared hasn't seen it yet. The downside was that we'd seen literally six previews already, and then they started again with the correct movie. We both really enjoyed it, and I suggest it to anyone. Overall, I won this year, but I have the feeling he'll be back next year to get me. Next up, Jared and I have been planning on a vacation for a while, but it keeps getting put off for all sorts of reasons. We finally decided we're going!! We are going to go to Tennessee!! Jared is WAY excited, and I am a close second. We're going at the end of May, and I'll be sure to take lots of pictures with my wonderful camera. :) This vacation is much needed for both of us, but mostly Jared. I'm excited for him to show me his home for two years of his life, and to meet some of the people that he knew out there. Up coming events in our house, next week is the state program of the Distinguished Young Women of Utah, so I'll be sure to let you know how that goes, and Jared is getting ready for the last month of the semester. I'll be better at this this month. For real.

I think it is a little unfair to have a favorite book. It's almost like having a favorite sibling, or favorite child. You just can't do it!! I actually really like to read. You might even say that I LOVE to read! Books are just such a wonderful escape or an adventure. It is taking a few minutes or hours out of your life, and put you somewhere else. Not many things have the ability to do that. I do have books that I can read over and over again, and some that I only need to read once. I am not sure when I fell in love with reading, but I'm glad that I did. Loving to read always gives me something to do-as long as there is a book handy!! One of my favorite books, well I should say series, is-

  • A Great and Terrible Beauty
  • Rebel Angels
  • The Sweet Far Thing.

I don't know why I like those three books so much, and I don't know if many other people will. But I do, and that is all that matters. I also recently discovered the Percy Jackson series. I just so happen to really like Greek mythology, so I can understand why I like that series. Ok, well, that is all I have for now, so I'll blog at ya later :)

TEN

This picture was taken at the Michael Buble concert :) I love music!!
I listen to a lot of music. I mean a lot of music. The stuff I listen to when I'm sad are usually pretty sad, when I'm happy, the music can be almost anything!! When I'm angry, I listen to more umm...Linkin Park, Rage Against the Machine...angry music. Music can have such an impact on each of us. It can change the mood we're in, the day we're having, and bring back long lost memories. Keep that in mind as you listen to music. I like to burn cd's for myself, and then name them so that I remember what is on them. For example, Calm Down-has slower songs with softer beats. Angry Grrr is the cd I listen to when I'm angry, upset or just need to vent and scream. I think we all have songs that we listen to when we're in need of comfort. Be it happy, sad, party or cleaning the house :) Enjoy the gifts and talents others choose to share with us, and don't be afraid to share yours!

*N*I*N*E*

So, something I'm proud of in the past few days. You know, there is a lot of things I'm proud of, but we'll go with my deck of cards work out and run :) For those of you who read this and would like a quick work out-here you go. The Deck of Cards Work Out Needed: A deck of playing cards, a space big enough for you to lay down, good music* to listen to. *Music is optional. The Cards: 2-10: The number on the card is how ever many of the exercise you do. Face cards: Ten of the suit of the card drawn. Ace: Fifteen of the suit of the card drawn. Joker: Twenty of the card before. The Exercises: Hearts: Sit ups* Clubs: Jumping Jacks Diamonds: Push ups* Spades: Leg raises* *All of the exercises except for the push ups can be replaced with other exercises. :) For example, arm dips instead of sit ups, squats instead of jumping jacks. How to play: Shuffle the cards a few times, than place face down. At this point I reccommend stretching. To begin draw a card, and do what it says, than continue until the deck is finished. For example, if you draw a nine of diamonds, you will do nine push ups. Over all the workout takes about 15-20 minutes, which is why you also run after. How far and even if you run are both up to you. You can also add weights to the exercises. This will kick your trash if you do it right, so good luck!! If you even read this, let me know how it works out for you :)

8)

A short goal that I have this month...lets see...I'm trying to work out every day, but that isn't so much of a short goal, it's more long term. Wow, this is a bit tricker than I thought. I have goals, but apparently not many of them are short term! Oh, I think I found one :) Finish all my little projects in my life so there is less chaos! Alright, sweet :) I know that this isn't the longest blog, but there you go!! Another thing, totally unrelated to this blog topic-I'm trying to find a dance studio that will give me private lessons in ballroom. The tricky part is that my partner lives a little far away, about a five hour plane ride. So if you know of anywhere let me know! Thank you soo much :)
